Yesterday morning, Mitzi was showing classic colic symptoms. My heart stopped when I saw her and knew immediately what was going on. I called the vet immediately and sat with Mitzi while we waited. Our vet was there within 30 minutes and gave her IV medications to help her feel better. Mitzi appeared to have gas colic (it could be from her Cushing’s medication or a long list of other things that we will likely never know).
