So I pull up to this system and the fan’s not spinning… I grab the meter — 242.3V line voltage. Looks good. Pop the junction panel — capacitor is crumbled with rust, but somehow still checks out. Fan’s getting power, but when I test it out of circuit — it’s fried. So hot it burned me during the swap. New motor goes in, disconnect snapped back — boom, system fires up.
