Nov. 25 (UPI) -- At least six people were killed by Russia in an overnight attack on Kyiv, the city's mayor said Tuesday, as the United States and Ukraine held talks over the weekend to finalize a peace plan.

The proposed 28-point peace deal followed secret negotiations by envoys of Russia and US President Donald Trump.

From the front-line city of Pokrovsk in eastern Donetsk, to Zaporizhzhia in the south, there is little doubt that Russia is making advances. But, battlefield monitors suggest the picture is not quite so bleak for Ukraine as Trump and Putin suggest.
