Nvidia — the company — has performed phenomenally. Its cumulative earnings per share over the past two quarters were more than 800% higher than the comparable two-quarter total a year earlier. Yet Nvidia’s stock NVDA fell after the company’s earnings report last week.

Nvidia ( NVDA 3.97%) reported financial results for its fiscal 2025 fourth quarter (ended Jan. 26), and the business exceeded Wall Street expectations. Revenue of $39.3 billion and adjusted earnings per share of $0.89 came in ahead of estimates. Nonetheless, shares were down on the morning following the announcement.
