The Atlanta Braves are in Cleveland on Friday night to open a road series against the Guardians after taking two of three from their NL East rival New York Mets, improving to 53-68 but still sitting well outside the playoff picture.

The Atlanta Braves on Friday reinstated outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. from the 10-day injured list. He's been out since July 29 with a Grade 1 lower right calf strain after initial fears were that he had suffered a more significant injury to his Achilles.

Upon hearing of Acuna’s return, Braves fans expressed frustration with the organization’s decision to bring him back, given the team’s position far outside of playoff contention. A fan asked, "That’s cool and all, but why risk your star player on a wasted season?"
