Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum urged U.S. officials on Friday not to target individuals attending a Gold Cup soccer match in Los Angeles between the Mexican national team and the Dominican Republic.

The National Hurricane Center says Tropical Storm Dalila has formed in the eastern Pacific Ocean. The cyclone is centered Friday south of southwestern Mexico, about 190 miles south of Zihuatanejo.

Tropical Storm Dalila is moing Southwest at 50 mph on Saturday, and the storm is expected to strengthen this weekend before weakening on Monday. Alerts are up in the southwestern coast of Mexico from Playa Perula to Cabo Corrientes.
