Cal Raleigh is having a magnificent season for the Seattle Mariners. The superstar catcher is on the verge of setting a new single-season catcher home run record. He's got a chance to catch the single-season switch-hitter home run record. He's also a great defender with an awesome nickname (Big Dumper). It's a good time to be Raleigh.

It was also another record-setting night for Seattle catcher Cal Raleigh. In the top of the third inning, Raleigh hit a two-run homer to left field. It was his major league-leading 46th homer of the season, which gave him sole possession of the second-most single-season homers by a catcher in MLB history, passing Hall of Famer Johnny Bench.

The Mariners announced on Tuesday that Raleigh is the recipient of the Heart and Hustle Award. Each MLB team has one player who wins the award while an overall winner will also be announced. The Heart and Hustle Award is voted upon by current and past MLB players.
