While the Like a Dragon series is no stranger to emotional stories, Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii sets itself apart with one of the most emotional yet.

Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii has a lot of familiar elements among the many changes. On the change side, the protagonist has switched from Ichiban Kasuga to Goro Majima who is now a pirate captain out in search of treasure around the Hawaiian islands.

Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii' doesn't go all the way with its nautical ambitions, but its infectious energy and oddball premise are big swings that I wish every big-budget game series would take with their spin-off titles.
