Apple today announced that Pixelmator Pro is coming to the iPad, complete with a new touch-optimized workspace, full Apple Pencil support, the ability to work between iPad and Mac, and all of the powerful editing tools from the Mac version.

In Apple’s first major Pixelmator change since its acquisition, Pixelmator Pro is coming to iPad alongside the Apple Creator Studio launch.

Formerly a Mac-only app, Pixelmator Pro has been re-imagined for iPad OS, including support for the touchscreen as well as Apple Pencil. Apple doesn’t offer any touch-enabled laptops, so bringing the Apple-exclusive software to iPad opens the photo editor up to touchscreen-based editing.
