Despite being without star guard Caitlin Clark and losing veteran guard Sophie Cunningham to a knee injury in Sunday's game against the Connecticut Sun, the Indiana Fever earned a hard-fought win and made some history along the way.

Fever head coach Stephanie White said before Indiana's dramatic 99-93 overtime win over the Connecticut Sun that the organization still hopes that Clark can return before the regular season ends. "That's the hope. The hope is that she's back," White said.

Hopefully, some good news comes out about Clark's progress and a potential return date. For now, ESPN's projected return date of August 26 is something to take note of as a possible glimmer of hope for Indiana.
