GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Florida quarterback DJ Lagway took team repetitions Monday for the first time since training camp began, a promising sign for the 15th-ranked Gators as they start ramping up for their season opener.

The biggest concern right now for the Florida Gators has been the health of quarterback DJ Lagway. He dealt with shoulder and hernia injuries this offseason, and parlayed that into a calf injury going into fall camp.

Florida Gators head coach Billy Napier has a ton riding on sophomore quarterback DJ Lagway in 2025. Lagway has superstar potential, and he demonstrated it in his freshman season, when he became the starter after Graham Mertz was lost for the season due to injury.
