The NFL is aligning this year's Thanksgiving schedule similar to a regular Sunday and thinks viewership numbers could reach record levels.

The Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers will kick off their Thanksgiving game at Ford Field in Detroit at 1 p.m., 30 minutes later than normal.

Detroit has a 38-45-2 record on Thanksgiving Day after beating the Bears, 23-20, in the 2024 edition. That win at Ford Field snapped a seven-year losing streak on the holiday. Thanks to that streak (and a nine-year skid from 2004-12), the Lions' record on Thanksgiving at Ford Field – their home since the start of the 2002 season – is just 6-17.
