Chicago weather: Flooding concerns will linger through tonight
7:45 P.M. - Significant flash flooding possible in North Central LaSalle. A Flash Flood Warning is in effect until 10:45 p.m. Thunderstorms are producing rain rates of 2" per hour. This area has already received 3" of rain and an additional 1-2" is possible.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch in effect until 4 a.m. Tuesday. Residents are urged to reduce water use to ease pressure on the sewer system. City Council members on the Southwest Side call on the mayor to speed flood response.
