Iran launched dozens of ballistic missiles toward Israel on Friday night in retaliation for Israel's surprise attack early Friday. Israel struck at the heart of the Iran's nuclear program, killing several nuclear scientists as well as high-ranking military leaders, according to Israeli officials.

New Delhi said that it did not participate in the discussions on the release issued by the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.

"More nations want to protect their citizens using Israeli defense equipment," said Israeli official Major General Amir Baram.

"This confrontation will not end with last night's limited actions and Iran's strikes will continue, and this action will be very painful and regrettable for the aggressors," Fars reported, citing senior military officials.

Israel’s military says the latest missiles from Iran are incoming, and explosions are heard overhead in parts of Israel, including Tel Aviv. Iran state television has announced the latest missile barrage.
