Michael Franti is sharing his side of the story after Spanish-American singer Victoria Canal accused someone in the music industry of sexual abuse. Last week, Canal, 27, released a statement on Instagram claiming that an unnamed “very powerful” man abused and groomed her eight years ago at the start of her career.

Following the abrupt cancellation of the Soulshine At Sea tour on August 17, singer Michael Franti from Spearhead has opened up about abuse allegations.

Michael Franti has parted ways with his longtime management company, Activist Artist Management. Billboard reports that the singer-songwriter, who had been a client of Activist for nearly a decade, separated from the firm following allegations of sexual abuse against him by Spanish-American singer Victoria Canal.
