LIBERTY — Close to 300 people will lose their jobs in the coming months when the food and beverage giant PepsiCo closes its Liberty manufacturing facility, which produces PopCorners brand snacks and has been a major employer in the area for almost 30 years.

PepsiCo Foods U.S. has announced the upcoming closure of its facility on Mill Street in Liberty. News 12 was alerted to the closure by an employee who said 300 workers at the site will be without jobs as of April.
