Anne Wojcicki’s winning bid to reclaim control of 23andMe doesn’t necessarily end the fight over what happens to the DNA of 15 million people collected by the bankrupt consumer genomics company.

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:REGN) has reportedly declined to submit a higher bid for 23andMe (OTC:MEHCQ) after a non-profit led by the company’s co-founder and former CEO Anne Wojcicki proposed a better offer to acquire the bankrupt DNA testing company.

Beleaguered genetic testing company 23andMe announced Friday that it has reached an agreement to sell itself to TTAM Research Institute, a nonprofit led by the company's co-founder and former CEO Anne Wojcicki.
