While this is not the only Disney film reference, the Ice Age reference was one of the most viral easter egg moments from Alien: Earth. In one of the scenes, Marcy’s brother, Hermit, recalls watching Ice Age: Continental Drift with his sister, cleverly making another Disney film part of the Alien: Earth lore.
Earth a simple but accurate nickname. Alien: Earth is the latest entry in the expansive Alien franchise. Noah Hawley, who previously wrote and directed episodes of TV shows such as Fargo and Legion, developed the series for FX and FX on Hulu.
Like Ridley Scott’s Alien, Hawley’s new series takes its time building up terror and suspense. In true reverence to its predecessor, Alien: Earth crafts a dark, chilling atmosphere as it turns the Maginot into another haunted house in space. This is a sharp contrast to the bright, lush “paradise” of Neverland.

Alien: Earth does an incredible balancing act of all the subgenres that make the franchise so unique. There is all the wonderful world-building any sci-fi series needs.
