A tunnel that has been used for a year is used to smuggle migrants, weapons and cash across the U.S.-Mexico border.

An El Paso man was sentenced on Wednesday, Jan. 15, to over four years (57 months) in prison after conspiring with others to transport migrants who had illegally entered the U.S. from April 2021 through November 2023,

Mark Anthony Holguin was sentenced to four years for leading a human smuggling operation from Mexico to the U.S.

Several federal agents have reportedly found a sophisticated "narco tunnel" in El Paso, Texas that has reportedly allowed cartel members to smuggle drugs and even humans into the U.S. undetected by border officers.
