Paul VI Catholic High School (Va.) combo guard Jordan Smith Jr. announced his commitment to John Calipari and the Arkansas Razorbacks on Friday night. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound five-star senior was a prime Duke basketball target for over a year and a half, and it's worth noting that he visited the Blue Devils a couple of times in his recruitment.

The 21st-ranked Razorbacks completed a season sweep of the Tigers with a commanding 91-62 victory, marking back-to-back blowouts over their two-game road stint. It came three days after winning 88-68 at Mississippi State on Saturday.

The 2027 high school recruiting cycle doesn't neccissarily have the big names such as previous years with Cooper Flagg, AJ Dybantsa, Cameron Boozer, Tyran Stokes, Koa Peat, Darryn Peterson, or Jordan Smith. However, it opens the door for Black to continuet his rise in recruiting rankings with an outside shot as the No. 1 player in the class.
