Genesis Invitational host Tiger Woods said he felt it important to keep the Los Angeles-based event in Southern California at Torrey Pines as the area recovers from a series of deadly wildfires.

Tiger Woods, Tom Kim, and Kevin Kisner will square off against Rory McIlroy’s Boston Common Golf Club, with Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley and Adam Scott playing alongside him. Of course, this highly anticipated match pits Woods against McIlroy, two of the co-founders of TGL and two of the most popular golfers on the planet.

Tiger Woods said the goal was to keep the Genesis Invitational on or near the West Coast. It was moved to Torrey Pines outside of San Diego.
