The United States couldn't beat Canada when it mattered most in the inaugural 4 Nations Face-Off, losing to their neighbors 3-2 in overtime in Thursday's final. The Americans came close to their first best-on-best championship since the 1996 World Cup of Hockey, getting several major scoring chances in the early minutes of overtime.
Tkachuk was originally selected with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft. During his time with Ottawa, the 25-year old has tallied 393 points (183 goals and 210 assists), and currently leads the Senators in goals (21) this season.
