LOCAL politicians have expressed their shock after the ‘heartbreaking’ death of a young boy in Glasgow. Representatives from across North Glasgow have spoken out after hearing the news that a 15-year-old boy died after being found seriously injured in Clarendon Street.

Investigating officers have been carrying out door-to-door enquiries and gathering CCTV footage following the incident on Wednesday night.

A teen boy has been found dead on a Glasgow street with police treating the death as suspicious. Officers from Police Scotland raced to Clarendon Street at around 10.30pm on Wednesday, March 5, where the 15-year-old was found seriously injured and sadly died shortly after.

The Thistle centre, which opened in January, lets drug users take illegal drugs in a safe environment under medical supervision.

The death is now being treated as suspicious and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. Formal identification is yet to take place however, the boy's family are receiving specialist support.
