Head coach Lindy Ruff told reporters on Friday that centre Josh Norris was being evaluated by team medical staff for an undisclosed injury after missing practice.

The Sabres had to give up Dylan Cozens, a 24-year-old alternate captain who signed a seven-year, $49.7 million contract during his 68-point breakout season. He’s a center with a ton of upside who failed to live up to it the last two seasons. His physicality came and went. He was less confident carrying the puck and his production plummeted.
