After an injury brought his rookie season to an end before it even began, J.J. McCarthy says he's ready to be the starting quarterback in Minnesota.

The Vikings' young quarterback told reporters on Tuesday that he's confident in his skillset and the team around him.

Vikings players came back to the team’s practice facility in Eagan for the start of offseason workouts on April 21. Soon after Jonathan Greenard returned to the Vikings’ locker room, he was greeted by a face that had been around the TCO Performance Center for months.

One name to keep an eye on at the three-day event is University of Maine receiver Montigo Moss, the son of Vikings great Randy Moss. According to Believe Sports Group, Montigo was invited to Vikings rookie minicamp on April 29.
