A viral hoax claiming Roblox will shut down on 1 September 2025 sparked panic among millions of players, but the company has confirmed the gaming platform is not going anywhere.

It was signed off by "The Roblox Team." This fake announcement was posted on Aug. 18 by @RobloxNoobifier, which is a verified account that posts parody content and goes by the name Roblox Notifier.
