The demonstration came at the end of a week in which federal immigration officials said over 100 people had been detained in Maine.
Police said there was a crowd of about 40 people who were blowing whistles, banging on drums and causing disturbances. Six people were taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct after they refused to comply with officers.
A Portland Police officer who was filmed punching a protester earlier this month during an anti-ICE protest was also named in a lawsuit years earlier by a different protester who was injured by police.
Friday's march from Deering Oaks Park to the Bayside neighborhood was the latest of several 'rule of law' gatherings held over the last year.

More than 100 people protest outside Portland ICE facility, two arrests made
PORTLAND. Ore. (KOIN) — About 100-150 people were seen gathering outside the Portland ICE facility around 10 p.m. Saturday night after other protests were held around the Rose City throughout the day.
Portland Police oversaw protests near the ICE building in South Portland and arrested one person.
ICE Out of Minnesota" protest organizers said local businesses in Minnesota closed as part of a strike against ICE actions in the state.
