Police are investigating a head-on collision on I-40 in South Asheville, which killed a motorcyclist and shut down the eastbound lanes on Feb. 4.

The initial partial collapse of Interstate 40 happened along the Pigeon River ... It passes through California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee and North Carolina.
