Reuters reported in April 2025 that WeightWatchers' stock, which traded as high as $100 in 2018, lost most of its value last year as the company faced revenue declines, liquidity concerns, and celebrity shareholder Oprah Winfrey's decision to exit its board.

WW International, formerly known as WeightWatchers, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Tuesday in a bid to cut its debt after hugely popular obesity drugs upended its business model.

The well-known and popular diet company, which assigns point values to foods, was founded more than 60 years ago.
