The United States Geological Survey is reporting a weekend earthquake in the Peach State. According to the USGS, a 1.4 magnitude earthquake happened 7 kilometers from Lafayette, Georgia. It was recorded at 10:41 p.m. Saturday and had a depth of 9.5 kilometers.

A 7.0 magnitude earthquake rocked Alaska on Saturday, according to the United States Geological Survey . The earthquake occurred at 11:41 a.m. local time in northeast of Yakutat, Alaska, the USGS said.
Since the initial quake, 20 aftershocks have been felt, with the largest around 5.1 in magnitude. There is currently no Tsunami threat. USGS does forecast more aftershocks later in the week.
