PAIA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Maui police have identified the suspect allegedly responsible for shooting and killing Maui police officer Suzanne O in Paia. Clembert Kaneholani, 38, is currently being held without bail. His charges include murder in the first degree, attempted murder in the second degree and two felon in possession of ammunition.

Maui is mourning the loss of police officer Suzanne O, who was fatally shot Friday night while responding to a terroristic threatening incident in Paia. The Maui Police Department on Saturday identified O, a five-year veteran of the force, as the slain officer and praised her professionalism, courtesy and tact.
