Marc Marquez responded to his Spanish Grand Prix disappointment by setting the pace in Monday’s Jerez MotoGP test. A day after his second race crash of the season, the factory Ducati star was fastest in both sessions at the official test.

Alex Marquez scored his breakthrough MotoGP victory at the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday, reclaiming the lead of the world championship in the process. Alex’s brother and previous points leader Marc Marquez crashed his factory Ducati on lap three of the race at Jerez, thus falling a point behind the Gresini Ducati rider.

World championship favourite Marc Marquez is unable to explain the crash that handed the points lead back to his brother Alex at the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday.
