Shedeur Sanders was a victim of a prank call from someone pretending to be New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis on Night 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft Friday night. The former Colorado quarterback was in a yard surrounded by family when someone called his phone. "It's Mickey Loomis here, GM of the Saints," the caller said.

Shedeur Sanders, who had decided to skip going to the NFL draft in person in Green Bay, Wisconsin, was with his family at his father Deion's home outside of Dallas. Shedeur was clearly confused by the phone call, asking his family, "What does that mean?"

The NFL is investigating Friday's prank call to Shedeur Sanders that purported the rookie quarterback would be drafted by the New Orleans Saints with the 40th overall pick, according to reports.
