Knicks star Jalen Brunson seemed to address rumors and speculation of a team rift amid the firing of head coach Tom Thibodeau.

The Knicks are better than they have been in decades, and the city has fallen for the team’s unassuming but sharpshooting point guard.

Those two led the Knicks to 51 wins and the conference finals, but the defense was not good enough, even with Mitchell Robinson.

Jalen Brunson is “overconfident” the Knicks will take the next step after their Eastern Conference Finals loss to the Indiana Pacers on Saturday. “The most confidence. Overconfident. Seriously. There’s not an ounce of any type of doubt that I’m not confident with this group,” Brunson told reporters after the loss.
