Famine fears and the new death toll are grim milestones in a conflict that began almost two years ago when Hamas attacked Israel.

The U.N.-developed panel, known as IPC, said conditions “worsened dramatically” in recent months, with food consumption at its lowest level since the conflict began.

The IPC warns that Gaza is facing a worsening famine amid restricted humanitarian access and rising hunger-related deaths.
