A "horrible" photo of Sophie Cunningham's leg injury is going viral on social media on Sunday afternoon. Cunningham, traded from the Phoenix Mercury to the Indiana Fever this offseason, suffered an apparent knee injury in the first half of Sunday's game against the Connecticut Sun.

Early in the second quarter, Cunningham slid over on the baseline to provide help against Sun guard Bria Hartley, who threw a pass to the corner that was picked off by Lexie Hull. After getting rid of the ball, Hartley fell down and crashed into Cunningham's right leg.

Fever coach Stephanie White told reporters after Indiana’s overtime win against the Connecticut Sun that she didn’t have an update on the star guard, other than she has an MRI scheduled for Monday, according to Fever reporter Scott Agness. Cunningham left in the second quarter of Sunday’s game after Bria Hartley fell on her leg during a play.
