The New York Yankees have acquired outfielder Austin Slater from the Chicago White Sox ahead of Thursday's MLB trade deadline, ESPN's Jeff Passan reported on Wednesday.

They made a deal with the Chicago White Sox, who have proven thanks to the Andrew Vaughn deal that getting a player out of the South Side could mean good things. So we'll see if that's the case for Slater and the Yankees.
