Apple Maps has quietly been updated to change the Gulf of Mexico to the "Gulf of America" when viewed by U.S. users. Apple Maps changed the Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America on its maps Tuesday, one day after Google Maps made the change as well. According to Bloomberg, the change was first made in the U.S. but changes to the map will be made elsewhere soon.
